A guided run through the platform, wide to narrow — start with the map, end with a single asset.

The workflow

ByteTrend rewards working wide to narrow: start broad, find the strong or emerging areas, then drill into the assets driving them. Four steps.

1. Start wide — Macro

The Macro page ranks regions, countries and sectors by average score, so the day’s leadership is visible at a glance. It also tracks how each trend category has actually performed — sometimes the leaders outperform, sometimes the bearish names do.

Breadth, in both Local and CAPR terms, shows how broad or narrow that leadership is. A market where a handful of names carry everything behaves very differently from one where most things are working.

2. Compare groups — Region, Sector, Country

The Region, Sector and Country pages show each group’s score distribution, tracked and ranked over time.

Read the shape, not just the average. A sector with most stocks at 4–5 and few stragglers is broadly trending. One split between 0s and 5s averages out to something unremarkable while actually being a stock-picker’s sector — the average hides exactly the thing you want to know.

3. Drill down — Securities

The Securities section holds the full dataset across stocks, ETFs, digital assets, commodities and FX. Ways to work it:

  • Filter by a Weekly CAPR score to find established, market-beating trends, then cross-check the Daily score for early signs of a turn.
  • Watch transitions as well as levels — the score-change and consecutive-week columns surface scores that are changing, which is where the information is.
  • Sort any column and use the search box, which matches names and symbols as you type.
  • Switch the View in the header between the full dataset and a scores-only layout when you want less noise.

4. Confirm on the security page

Click any symbol for the full picture: a price or CAPR chart carrying the moving averages and rolling high/low bands the score actually tests against, plus a score history beneath the price so you can see how the trend was built.

The score-type selector switches between the four Local/CAPR × Daily/Weekly variants, and the timescale buttons run from three months to full history. The trend and risk panels summarise regime, deviation, volatility and drawdown.

What you should have at the end

Not a buy list — a shortlist you understand: you know what score it holds, on which series and timescale, whether that score is rising or falling, and whether the group around it agrees.
